LENS OPTIONS
Single Vision Lenses function as all purpose lenses for persons under the age of 40 years, who have normal accommodation.
Bifocal Lenses on the other hand, are used by people over the age of 40 years. The upper portion of the lens is focused for distance vision and the bifocal portion is focused for close-up vision.
Trifocal Lenses have an added segment to provide clear vision at arm’s length (Computer) distance, the area that is usually blurred with bifocals.
Progressive Lenses are the most updated lens choice for people who do not want the line. They provide continuous clear vision at far, midrange and near without showing any lines.
Task Oriented Glasses are useful for people who are reading, on the computer or doing certain work for more than 2 hours a day. Glasses can be specially made so that you can do your work comfortably.
LENS MATERIAL
POLYCARBONATE lenses are impact resistant with UV protection. They are approved for safety and sports lenses.
TRIVEX are thinner than polycarbonate and work well with rimless frames. They include UV protection.
High-Index Lenses are the lightest and most comfortable lenses for adults. They are the thinnest lens allowing better visual quality with higher prescriptions. They include UV protection.
LENS ENHANCEMENTS
U.V. Protection blocks hazardous ultraviolet light. Research has shown that prolonged exposure to sunlight can increase the risks of cataract and macular degeneration.
Transition Lenses are photochromic lenses that are clear indoors and dark outdoors, and provide total UV protection. These add extra comfort, especially during sunny days.
Anti-Reflection Coating eliminates annoying reflections and glare with night driving, computer screens and television screens.
Polarized Lenses make the best sunglasses. They have total U.V. protection, eliminate glare, true color perception, enhanced clarity and help sensitive eyes.
