Virtual Visit
During these unsettling times with the Coronavirus COVID-19 Pandemic, social distancing is critical. While we are taking every precaution to maintain a clean and safe environment in our office, we can help with many eye issues from the comfort of your home.
Video or Telephone Visit
Call our office to schedule a visit with one of our ophthalmologists. A video visit requires either a smart phone or computer with a camera. If you do not have either, we are happy to discuss any eye issues over the phone.
To better assist you during your visit, we ask that you complete the following 3 tests (Scroll down for directions):
Vision Test, Amsler Grid and Red Dot
Vision Check
Follow the instructions on the image to size the chart correctly.
If you wear reading glasses, please put them on.
To test your RIGHT eye, cover your left eye. Read the smallest line you can see. Write down the number all the way to the right.
Repeat for the opposite eye.
2. Amsler Box with Grid
Again, check one eye at a time by covering one eye. Look at the central point. Tell the doctor if any boxes are missing or if the lines look wavy or straight. This tests the macula.
3. Big Red Dot Testing
Covering one eye at a time, do both eyes have the same red color? If not, which one appears paler or more pink? This tests the optic nerve.
